Stage Three; TriPeaks Stage Race

Today was a late morning crit that started at 11am. The race started off really fast and soon later cooled down until HealthNet decided to stretch there legs for this afternoons TT. They hit the front to bring back two guys who had opened a 30 second gap. After that surge, the field was down to only about 25 riders. With 4 to go, Sergio, Sterling and I tried our best to ride together and make it to the finish with a lead out.

Sterling got me from 15th wheel to 10th wheel and coming out the last turn, Toyota United headed into the last turn 1-2-3-4. Ivan Stevic (Toyota) took first, I finished 2nd and a Jelly belly rider third.

Positioning was key in this finish, I needed to be at least 5th wheel coming out the last turn. I mean I past 6 guys in the sprint.

Now its time for the TT, I leave in 30 minutes.

You guys were awesome at both races (Joe martin and Tri-Peaks).  Hope you enjoyed what has now been tagged as the "Rock and Republic Mtn!"  We have photos of the race and all the messages on Nebo if you want any.  Hope you guys return next year.
