Seems sometimes that sort of thing is the only way to attract attention to an event. LOL Sort of a shame though!
My answer to the open ended question of "What should you do?" is; get involved. Any way, any place, any time that one can...get involved. It's way too easy to sit on the sidelines and wonder way "someone" doesn't do something, fix something, solve something. Years can go by and not much gets done, and those that do get involved often get burned out by trying to carry the burden by themselves, waiting for others to get involved.
